A major retail therapy destination, Sitges combines excellent weather; a picturesque pedestrianized shopping center; relaxed Sunday trading laws and a wealth of tempting shopping possibilities! As a result it is a major local shopping hub, attracting and satisfying both serious shopaholics and serial browsers.

And when (if?) you tire of flexing your purchasing power, Sitges offers a mind-boggling selection of other attractions.

Sitges Main Shopping Area

Sitges main shopping district is much larger and more vibrant than you might expect for a town of less than 30,000 people – with an emphasis on providing impressive eating possibilities as well as upmarket clothing, jewellery and other luxury shops.

The main shopping streets are pedestrianised and stretch from near the railway station down to the sea. ‘Parellades’ forms the spine of this commercial zone running the length of the town centre roughly parallel to the coast.
Along these streets you will find most of Spain’s big high street brands, (although in premises which are smaller and more intimate than in many of the big cities) Smaller independent boutiques also feature heavily selling original one-offs, side by side with an array of shops catering for tourists short on time and eager to make the most of their holiday.

Supermarkets are largely relegated to the outskirts of Sitges residential areas due to the size of available premises within the town centre – the exception being the Mercadona which you can find in a custom built building under the municipal market near the train station, and a Bon Preu located on C/ Sant Gaudenci.
